# CaskFinder vs Meross

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CaskFinder at none against Meross's 8. Meross's advantage is ratings volume (7.9K vs 41) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Meross sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. CaskFinder asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for CaskFinder against 4.6 for Meross. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Meross has 7.9K ratings behind it against 41, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 59% of CaskFinder's written reviews are positive against 77% of Meross's.

CaskFinder ships an update every 2 months, Meross every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
