# CaskFinder vs Smart911

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Smart911 at 6.8K against CaskFinder's 41. CaskFinder's advantage is review sentiment (59% vs 37%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Smart911 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart911 has 6.8K ratings behind it against 41, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of CaskFinder's written reviews are positive against 37% of Smart911's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CaskFinder ships an update every 2 months, Smart911 every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
