# KakaoTalk vs KIT3

The clearest difference is rating: KIT3 at 5.0 against KakaoTalk's 4.4. KIT3 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). KakaoTalk's advantage is ratings volume (49K vs 3) and chart position (#111 vs unranked). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. KakaoTalk sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and KIT3 sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

KIT3 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KakaoTalk has 49K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

KakaoTalk ships an update weekly, KIT3 every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
