# Journal Le Monde vs L'Echo

The clearest difference is rating: Journal Le Monde at 4.5 against L'Echo's 1.0. Journal Le Monde also leads on review sentiment (59% vs 20%) and ratings volume (62 vs 2). L'Echo's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Journal Le Monde sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month and L'Echo sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
