# Journal Le Monde vs Le Devoir Virtuel

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Le Devoir Virtuel at none against Journal Le Monde's 5. Le Devoir Virtuel also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.5). Journal Le Monde's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (62 vs 8). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Journal Le Monde sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. Le Devoir Virtuel asks for nothing beyond the download.

Le Devoir Virtuel holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Journal Le Monde has 62 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Journal Le Monde's written reviews are positive against 50% of Le Devoir Virtuel's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
