# SessionTalk SIP Softphone vs MOTION X

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MOTION X at 100% against SessionTalk SIP Softphone's 39%. MOTION X also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). SessionTalk SIP Softphone's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 15) and rating (4.4 vs 4.2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SessionTalk SIP Softphone sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and MOTION X sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SessionTalk SIP Softphone holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SessionTalk SIP Softphone has 1K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of SessionTalk SIP Softphone's written reviews are positive against 100% of MOTION X's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SessionTalk SIP Softphone ships an update every 4 days, MOTION X every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
