# SessionTalk SIP Softphone vs Mumblefy

The clearest difference is rating: SessionTalk SIP Softphone at 4.4 against Mumblefy's 1.8. SessionTalk SIP Softphone also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (1K vs 24). Mumblefy's advantage is review sentiment (52% vs 39%) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SessionTalk SIP Softphone sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Mumblefy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SessionTalk SIP Softphone holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SessionTalk SIP Softphone has 1K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of SessionTalk SIP Softphone's written reviews are positive against 52% of Mumblefy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SessionTalk SIP Softphone ships an update weekly, Mumblefy every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
