# Washboard vs TerribleSync

The clearest difference is price: TerribleSync at Free against Washboard's $1.99. TerribleSync also leads on review sentiment (83% vs 43%) and ratings volume (4 vs 1). Washboard's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 35 months). On ads, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

TerribleSync is free to download; Washboard costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Washboard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Washboard's written reviews are positive against 83% of TerribleSync's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Washboard ships an update every 3 months, TerribleSync every 35 months. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
