# Washboard vs Santoor HD

The clearest difference is rating: Washboard at 5.0 against Santoor HD's 4.3. Washboard also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and price ($1.99 vs $2.99). Santoor HD's advantage is review sentiment (85% vs 43%) and ratings volume (157 vs 1). On update cadence, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Washboard costs $1.99 and Santoor HD $2.99 up front. Santoor HD sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Washboard asks for nothing beyond the download.

Washboard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Santoor HD has 157 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Washboard's written reviews are positive against 85% of Santoor HD's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
