# Netflix vs MangoTV

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Netflix at 59% against MangoTV's 13%. Netflix also leads on rating (4.7 vs 2.0) and ratings volume (7.6M vs 730). MangoTV's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Netflix sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and MangoTV sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Netflix holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Netflix has 7.6M ratings behind it against 730, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 59% of Netflix's written reviews are positive against 13% of MangoTV's.

Netflix ships an update weekly, MangoTV monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
