# Netflix vs Disney+

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Netflix at 7.5M against Disney+'s 2M. Disney+'s advantage is chart position (#5 vs #17) and iOS requirement (16.5 vs 26.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Netflix sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Disney+ sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $12.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Netflix holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7.5M and 2M respectively.

Netflix ships an update weekly, Disney+ every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
