# SAS Survival Guide vs Prepper AI

The clearest difference is rating: Prepper AI at 4.7 against SAS Survival Guide's 3.6. Prepper AI also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 17 months). SAS Survival Guide's advantage is ratings volume (177 vs 31). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SAS Survival Guide sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Prepper AI sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Prepper AI holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SAS Survival Guide has 177 ratings behind it against 31, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of SAS Survival Guide's written reviews are positive against 75% of Prepper AI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SAS Survival Guide ships an update every 17 months, Prepper AI every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
