# forScore vs Music Calculator

The clearest difference is price: Music Calculator at Free against forScore's $24.99. Music Calculator also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 50%). forScore's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (43K vs 2). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Music Calculator is free to download; forScore costs $24.99 up front. forScore sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per year and Music Calculator sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

forScore holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: forScore has 43K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of forScore's written reviews are positive against 67% of Music Calculator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

forScore ships an update every 9 days, Music Calculator every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
