# OmniCalc vs FormatX

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: OmniCalc at none against FormatX's 3. OmniCalc also leads on ratings volume (90 vs 10) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FormatX sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.29 per 7 days. OmniCalc asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for OmniCalc against 4.6 for FormatX. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OmniCalc has 90 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
