# ComicGlass vs Manga Viewer

The clearest difference is price: Manga Viewer at Free against ComicGlass's $3.99. Manga Viewer also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). ComicGlass's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and chart position (#109 vs unranked). On in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Manga Viewer is free to download; ComicGlass costs $3.99 up front. ComicGlass sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Manga Viewer sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Manga Viewer holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Manga Viewer has 349 ratings behind it against 63, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 74% of ComicGlass's written reviews are positive against 83% of Manga Viewer's.

ComicGlass ships an update every 3 weeks, Manga Viewer weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
