# Field Strength Estimator vs spacedesk

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Field Strength Estimator at none against spacedesk's 11. Field Strength Estimator also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 71%). spacedesk's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 13 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. spacedesk sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Field Strength Estimator asks for nothing beyond the download.

spacedesk holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: spacedesk has 2.3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Field Strength Estimator's written reviews are positive against 71% of spacedesk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
