# Sketch Me! vs Tattoo Stencil Maker

Sketch Me! and Tattoo Stencil Maker both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 76% of Sketch Me!'s written reviews are positive against 17% of Tattoo Stencil Maker's. Sketch Me! also leads on ratings volume (7K vs 647). Tattoo Stencil Maker's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sketch Me! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Tattoo Stencil Maker sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tattoo Stencil Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sketch Me! has 7K ratings behind it against 647, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Sketch Me!'s written reviews are positive against 17% of Tattoo Stencil Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Sketch Me! ships an update every 2 months, Tattoo Stencil Maker monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
