# Sketch Me! vs Fx Stencil

The clearest difference is ads: Fx Stencil at none against Sketch Me!'s shown. Sketch Me!'s advantage is review sentiment (76% vs 43%) and ratings volume (7K vs 1K). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sketch Me! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Fx Stencil sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Sketch Me! against 4.5 for Fx Stencil. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sketch Me! has 7K ratings behind it against 1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 76% of Sketch Me!'s written reviews are positive against 43% of Fx Stencil's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
