# Checklists XL vs miCal

The clearest difference is update cadence: miCal at every 5 weeks against Checklists XL's every 11 months. miCal also leads on ratings volume (593 vs 1) and device support (4 vs 1). Checklists XL's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and price ($0.99 vs $1.99). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Checklists XL costs $0.99 and miCal $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Checklists XL holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: miCal has 593 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Checklists XL's written reviews are positive against 78% of miCal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Checklists XL ships an update every 11 months, miCal every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
