# Eye Chart Pro vs Eye Charts

The clearest difference is price: Eye Chart Pro at Free against Eye Charts's $4.99. Eye Chart Pro also leads on rating (4.3 vs 3.5) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Eye Charts's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and review sentiment (68% vs 53%). On update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Eye Chart Pro is free to download; Eye Charts costs $4.99 up front. Eye Chart Pro sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Eye Charts asks for nothing beyond the download.

Eye Chart Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Eye Charts has 29 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of Eye Chart Pro's written reviews are positive against 68% of Eye Charts's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Eye Chart Pro ships an update every 3 months, Eye Charts every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
