# Thicket vs Art in Motion

The clearest difference is rating: Art in Motion at 4.8 against Thicket's 4.5. Thicket's advantage is update cadence (every 4 months vs every 11 months) and review sentiment (78% vs 64%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Thicket costs $1.99 and Art in Motion $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Art in Motion holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Thicket has 35 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Thicket's written reviews are positive against 64% of Art in Motion's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Thicket ships an update every 4 months, Art in Motion every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
