# BrainPOP vs Adventure Academy

BrainPOP and Adventure Academy both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 93% of BrainPOP's written reviews are positive against 61% of Adventure Academy's. Adventure Academy's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (122K vs 34K). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BrainPOP sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Adventure Academy sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for BrainPOP against 4.6 for Adventure Academy. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 34K and 122K respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 93% of BrainPOP's written reviews are positive against 61% of Adventure Academy's.

BrainPOP ships an update every 2 months, Adventure Academy monthly. Both last shipped on October 22, 2026.
