# Cube vs Hours TimeLord

The clearest difference is rating: Hours TimeLord at 4.3 against Cube's 3.0. Hours TimeLord also leads on ratings volume (54 vs 3) and iOS requirement (14.1 vs 17.0). Cube's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (60% vs 39%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cube sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Hours TimeLord sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hours TimeLord holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hours TimeLord has 54 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Cube's written reviews are positive against 39% of Hours TimeLord's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
