# Documents vs BabyFile

The clearest difference is rating: Documents at 4.8 against BabyFile's 4.0. Documents also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (634K vs 4). BabyFile's advantage is review sentiment (92% vs 71%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 16.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Documents sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and BabyFile sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Documents holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Documents has 634K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Documents's written reviews are positive against 92% of BabyFile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Documents ships an update every 6 days, BabyFile fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
