# Calculator Max vs Calculator

The clearest difference is ads: Calculator Max at none against Calculator's shown. Calculator Max also leads on ratings volume (1.8K vs 200). Calculator's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 55%) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calculator Max sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year and Calculator sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Calculator holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculator Max has 1.8K ratings behind it against 200, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 55% of Calculator Max's written reviews are positive against 80% of Calculator's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
