# Footsteps Pedometer Lite vs Every Step Counting

The clearest difference is rating: Footsteps Pedometer Lite at 4.5 against Every Step Counting's 4.0. Footsteps Pedometer Lite also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Every Step Counting sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Footsteps Pedometer Lite asks for nothing beyond the download.

Footsteps Pedometer Lite holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Footsteps Pedometer Lite has 370 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Footsteps Pedometer Lite's written reviews are positive against 50% of Every Step Counting's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Footsteps Pedometer Lite ships an update every 2 months, Every Step Counting every 45 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
