# Footsteps Pedometer Lite vs Stepper

The clearest difference is rating: Footsteps Pedometer Lite at 4.5 against Stepper's 3.0. Footsteps Pedometer Lite also leads on ratings volume (370 vs 1). Stepper's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 47%) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Footsteps Pedometer Lite holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Footsteps Pedometer Lite has 370 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Footsteps Pedometer Lite's written reviews are positive against 75% of Stepper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Footsteps Pedometer Lite ships an update every 2 months, Stepper every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
