# Field Agent vs Powerpal

The clearest difference is monetization model: Field Agent at free against Powerpal's free with in-app purchases. Field Agent also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 24) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). Powerpal's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 59%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Field Agent against 4.6 for Powerpal. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Field Agent has 12K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 59% of Field Agent's written reviews are positive against 70% of Powerpal's.

Field Agent ships an update every 9 days, Powerpal every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
