# Camp Bow Wow vs Barktopia

The clearest difference is rating: Barktopia at 4.7 against Camp Bow Wow's 3.2. Camp Bow Wow's advantage is review sentiment (27% vs 0%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Barktopia holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Camp Bow Wow has 476 ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of Camp Bow Wow's written reviews are positive against 0% of Barktopia's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Camp Bow Wow ships an update every 2 weeks, Barktopia every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
