# WmpRemote vs Infuse

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: WmpRemote at none against Infuse's 7. WmpRemote also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 18.0). Infuse's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (28K vs 9). On price, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Infuse sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. WmpRemote asks for nothing beyond the download.

WmpRemote holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Infuse has 28K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of WmpRemote's written reviews are positive against 60% of Infuse's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WmpRemote ships an update every 5 months, Infuse fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
