# Forever 21 vs SKIMS

The clearest difference is monetization model: Forever 21 at free against SKIMS's free with in-app purchases. Forever 21 also leads on ratings volume (474K vs 59K). SKIMS's advantage is chart position (#193 vs unranked) and review sentiment (66% vs 55%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Forever 21 against 4.9 for SKIMS. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Forever 21 has 474K ratings behind it against 59K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 55% of Forever 21's written reviews are positive against 66% of SKIMS's.

Forever 21 ships an update every 5 weeks, SKIMS every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
