# MGM Rewards vs Boyd Rewards

The clearest difference is rating: MGM Rewards at 4.8 against Boyd Rewards's 1.5. MGM Rewards also leads on ratings volume (264K vs 191) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). Boyd Rewards's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MGM Rewards holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MGM Rewards has 264K ratings behind it against 191, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of MGM Rewards's written reviews are positive against 27% of Boyd Rewards's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MGM Rewards ships an update every 2 weeks, Boyd Rewards monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
