# MGM Rewards vs Safe Diner

The clearest difference is ads: Safe Diner at none against MGM Rewards's shown. Safe Diner also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 20%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). MGM Rewards's advantage is ratings volume (264K vs 5) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for MGM Rewards against 4.8 for Safe Diner. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MGM Rewards has 264K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 20% of MGM Rewards's written reviews are positive against 50% of Safe Diner's.

MGM Rewards ships an update every 2 weeks, Safe Diner every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
