# 105.1 WAVA vs AFR

The clearest difference is rating: AFR at 4.6 against 105.1 WAVA's 4.1. AFR also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (374 vs 16). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AFR holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AFR has 374 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of 105.1 WAVA's written reviews are positive against 63% of AFR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

105.1 WAVA ships an update every 4 months, AFR every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
