# English App vs FLOW Speak

The clearest difference is rating: English App at 5.0 against FLOW Speak's 4.8. English App also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). FLOW Speak's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (104 vs 17). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. English App sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month and FLOW Speak sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

English App holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FLOW Speak has 104 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two.

English App ships an update fortnightly, FLOW Speak weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
