# ichGlaub vs BookPlayer

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ichGlaub at none against BookPlayer's 15. BookPlayer's advantage is ratings volume (19K vs 18) and chart position (#47 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BookPlayer sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. ichGlaub asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for ichGlaub against 4.8 for BookPlayer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BookPlayer has 19K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 87% of ichGlaub's written reviews are positive against 83% of BookPlayer's.

ichGlaub ships an update fortnightly, BookPlayer every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on September 7, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
