# PrankDial vs iSmilez

The clearest difference is rating: PrankDial at 4.7 against iSmilez's 4.1. PrankDial also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (88K vs 7). iSmilez's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 14.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PrankDial sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. iSmilez asks for nothing beyond the download.

PrankDial holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PrankDial has 88K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of PrankDial's written reviews are positive against 31% of iSmilez's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PrankDial ships an update every 4 weeks, iSmilez every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
