# Live Cams vs Orbcam

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Orbcam at none against Live Cams's 1. Orbcam also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Live Cams's advantage is review sentiment (34% vs 0%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 8 months). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Live Cams costs $2.99 and Orbcam $4.99 up front. Live Cams sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Orbcam asks for nothing beyond the download.

Orbcam holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Live Cams has 217 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of Live Cams's written reviews are positive against 0% of Orbcam's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Live Cams ships an update monthly, Orbcam every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
