# SecEMS vs AKeyChat Pro

The clearest difference is rating: AKeyChat Pro at 4.7 against SecEMS's 3.8. AKeyChat Pro also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ratings volume (203 vs 17). SecEMS's advantage is review sentiment (63% vs 50%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SecEMS sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. AKeyChat Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

AKeyChat Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AKeyChat Pro has 203 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of SecEMS's written reviews are positive against 50% of AKeyChat Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SecEMS ships an update every 2 months, AKeyChat Pro monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
