# Preschool Memory Match vs Spell

The clearest difference is update cadence: Spell at every 4 months against Preschool Memory Match's every 94 months. Spell also leads on rating (4.0 vs 3.7). Preschool Memory Match's advantage is ratings volume (2K vs 5) and device support (3 vs 1). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Preschool Memory Match costs $0.99 and Spell $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Spell holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Preschool Memory Match has 2K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of Preschool Memory Match's written reviews are positive against 88% of Spell's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Preschool Memory Match ships an update every 94 months, Spell every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
