# BBN vs Patch+

The clearest difference is monetization model: BBN at free against Patch+'s subscription. BBN also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and review sentiment (97% vs 70%). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BBN holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BBN has 20K ratings behind it against 52, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 97% of BBN's written reviews are positive against 70% of Patch+'s.

BBN ships an update monthly, Patch+ every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
