# Dhol vs Tabla

The clearest difference is ads: Dhol at none against Tabla's shown. Dhol also leads on ratings volume (155 vs 2) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 12.0). Tabla's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 7 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dhol sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Tabla sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Dhol against 4.5 for Tabla. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dhol has 155 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Dhol ships an update every 7 months, Tabla every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
