# Dhol vs Harmonium

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dhol at 91% against Harmonium's 50%. Dhol also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.6 vs 4.1). Harmonium's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 7 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dhol sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Harmonium sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dhol holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dhol has 155 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 91% of Dhol's written reviews are positive against 50% of Harmonium's.

Dhol ships an update every 7 months, Harmonium every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
