# TIME Magazine vs BBPTA

The clearest difference is rating: BBPTA at 5.0 against TIME Magazine's 4.5. BBPTA also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 months). TIME Magazine's advantage is ratings volume (2.5K vs 2) and chart position (#126 vs unranked). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TIME Magazine sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. BBPTA asks for nothing beyond the download.

BBPTA holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TIME Magazine has 2.5K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TIME Magazine ships an update every 3 months, BBPTA every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
