# Ode vs Linternaute.com

The clearest difference is rating: Ode at 4.6 against Linternaute.com's 3.7. Ode also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (70 vs 7). Linternaute.com's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ode sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Linternaute.com asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ode holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ode has 70 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Ode's written reviews are positive against 67% of Linternaute.com's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ode ships an update every 5 weeks, Linternaute.com every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
