# Ode vs Le Populaire

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Le Populaire at 90% against Ode's 61%. Le Populaire also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). Ode's advantage is ratings volume (70 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ode sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Le Populaire sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Le Populaire holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ode has 70 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of Ode's written reviews are positive against 90% of Le Populaire's.

Ode ships an update every 5 weeks, Le Populaire fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
