# Morse Mania vs RST Decoder

The clearest difference is price: RST Decoder at Free against Morse Mania's $2.99. RST Decoder also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 30 months). Morse Mania's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and chart position (#180 vs unranked). On review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

RST Decoder is free to download; Morse Mania costs $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RST Decoder holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Morse Mania has 50 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Morse Mania's written reviews are positive against 67% of RST Decoder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Morse Mania ships an update every 30 months, RST Decoder every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
