# Mushometer vs Adventure SOS

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mushometer at 83% against Adventure SOS's 40%. Mushometer also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). Adventure SOS's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 3.8). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Adventure SOS holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 8 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Mushometer's written reviews are positive against 40% of Adventure SOS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
