# Monster Dash vs Stupid Zombies 4

The clearest difference is monetization model: Stupid Zombies 4 at free with in-app purchases against Monster Dash's subscription. Stupid Zombies 4 also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.4). Monster Dash's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Monster Dash sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Stupid Zombies 4 sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stupid Zombies 4 holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2.1K and 2.8K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Monster Dash's written reviews are positive against 57% of Stupid Zombies 4's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Monster Dash ships an update every 3 weeks, Stupid Zombies 4 every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
