The clearest difference is rating: USB Disk SE, File Manager at 4.4 against InterConneX for iPad's 3.8. USB Disk SE, File Manager also leads on ratings volume (852 vs 13) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 6 months). InterConneX for iPad's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. USB Disk SE, File Manager sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and InterConneX for iPad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
